The Pirate’s Cove Fun Park is a kid’s dream come true. This five-acre entertainment facility in Bradenton features go-karts, laser tag, mini-golf, batting cages and an arcade.

South Florida Museum

The South Florida Museum provides an amazing look at local wildlife. The Parker Manatee Aquarium at the South Florida Museum features a 60,000-gallon multi-level manatee aquatic refuge, which allows above and below water viewing of the magnificent animals housed there.

Mote Aquarium

At the Mote Aquarium, you can see a 135,000-gallon shark habitat and two resident manatees, Hugh and Buffet, in their 70,000-gallon tank. Florida is home to a range of sharks including nurse sharks, bull sharks, blacktips and sandbar sharks - among others - and you can get closer than you’d like at Mote’s 135,000-gallon shark habitat. Out at sea shark tagging is also a great activity to take part in and a great way to find out more about these wild creatures.

Circus Sarasota

Kids will enjoy Circus Sarasota, a month-long big top show featuring the best of European-style aerial features. The circus is in town during February, March, April and December.

Explore “the world’s most spectacular display” of rare orchids, bromeliads and tropical plants at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens or get Tropical at Sarasota’s jungle gardens, where you have the chance to explore a wild jungle! Hold a parrot, feed a flamingo and come face-to-face with alligators.

Mote Marine Laboratory

Aspiring marine biologists can explore a shark habitat, manatee & sea turtle exhibits, stingray touch pool, fascinating marine life and research of Mote Marine Laboratory. The Children's Garden is an enchanted attraction, featuring a pirate ship, secret garden, maze, tree fort and slide, fairy gardens, three little pigs' house and dressing-up room.
 
Pelican Man’s Bird Sanctuary

Visit the feathered friends of the Pelican Man’s Bird Sanctuary, Florida's largest wildlife rehabilitation centre releasing thousands of birds each year. More than 55 species are nursed to health in this avian paradise.

Segway Tour

(This was the first ever of its kind) Take a city tour with a difference exploring scenic/historic downtown Sarasota and the beautiful bayfront on a Segway Human Transporter. Defy gravity as you glide along using self-balancing technology.

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is just a 45 minute drive away, the ultimate family adventure park offering some of the world’s best roller coaster rides. Adventure Island is also nearby in Tampa. This water park features everything from water slides, raft rides and wave pools to a swimming pool with an adult tiki bar. If the lure of the Orlando theme parks becomes too much don’t worry Orlando is only a two hour drive away!
